Would you like to have a significant impact on one of Amazon’s fastest growing businesses   Direct your passion for building a best in class customer experience into negotiating partnerships within the Toy industry.   We’re looking for an exceptionally motivated, analytical, strategic and results-oriented Senior Vendor Manager/Sr Buyer.  The successful candidate will be responsible for selection expansion, identifying business opportunities, building direct relationships with key suppliers to offer a authoritative selection, negotiating contracts, terms & conditions, managing and improving business processes, pricing, developing collaborative marketing and impactful promotions, driving sales and margin improvements.  In addition, the Senior Vendor Manager/Buyer must be an effective leader and communicator in working with Amazon.com partners and vendors, as well as with internal groups such as control buying, site merchandising, marketing & PR, finance, operations, and retail systems.
Qualifications The ideal candidate has strong business judgment with a track record of successful negotiations and overall relationship management.  Proven analytical thinking, project management skills, attention to detail, and exceptional organizational skills are musts.  The Senior Vendor Manager/Buyer is an effective leader and communicator and a seasoned problem-solver.  5+ years of relevant experience in retail or e-commerce desired Buying/planning, operations, or finance background Excellent written and verbal communication skills Proven negotiating skills, influencing abilities and vendor management experience Strong numerical and analytical aptitude Proven experience leading cross-functional projects Proactive attitude Ability to think and react in a high-energy, fast-paced environment Good organizational skills including prioritizing, scheduling, time management, and meeting deadlines Detail-oriented Technical aptitude and agility to learn web-based tools Toy industry knowledge and experience a plus BA/BS required, advanced degree a plus
