Buyer - Kitchen & Bath / Home Decor / Furniture

Rapidly growing e-commerce company is seeking bright, enthusiastic, hard-working and experienced Buyer with purchasing experience in Kitchen & Bath / Home Décor / Furniture categories to join our growing team.

Responsibilities:
- Achieve volume and profit objectives by planning and developing merchandise plan and assortment strategy.
- Perform competitive analysis, monitor the sales plan and report on performance
- Determine assortment voids and opportunities
- Determine upsell opportunities to optimize site average order-value
- Proactively identify trends and pricing through industry and competition analysis
- Vendor negotiations
- Daily interaction with customer service, sales, marketing, creative and IT staff.

Qualifications:
- 2+ years of web retail industry experience
- 5+ years of purchasing experience in Kitchen & Bath / Home Décor / Furniture categories
- Industry knowledge and existing vendor relationships is a must
- Merchandising experience is a big plus
- Solid track record of defining, analyzing and executing key strategies with minimal supervision
- Excellent verbal and written communication and problem solving skills
- Immaculate attention to details and organizational skills
- Bachelor’s Degree or equivalent combination of education and/or work experience required
